Songs that Jesus may have sung at this time are recorded in the book of Psalms, chapters 115-118. Some of the verses to those songs include:

“The Lord is with me; He is my helper. I will look with triumph on my enemies.” Psalm 118:7-8

The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the LORD: “LORD, save me!”  Psalm 116:3,4

A walk with a friend is usually a comforting and peaceful thing to do. And we can assume that this did help Jesus as He and his friends walked to the garden. However, being fully human and fully God, Jesus knew what was about to take place and so this walk must have been difficult for Him. Already, Judas had left the group to join forces with the religious leaders and turn Jesus in to them.

Listen to this Christian song, close your eyes and think of how sad Jesus must have been as He walked with His disciplines to the garden to pray. Remember to come back to the Journey after listening to the song.
